How to edit the number of active employee seats for my client’s Payroller subscription as an agent

Learn how to edit the number of active employee seats on a client’s Payroller subscription as an accountant or tax agent with our simple guide below.

Step 1: Make sure the Active employee count matches the number of employee seats you would like to subscribe for.

 

 

In the Payroller agent portal, click on the client card and select ‘People’

Tip:  If you have any employees that do not require a paid seat, you can deactivate the employee from the client’s ‘People‘ Page.

Once you have reviewed the seats from the client portal you can click the ‘Agent Portal’ on the top left to go back to the agent portal

Step 2: Increase or decrease the number of seats by selecting the ellipses of your client’s card in the Agent Portal.

Step 3: Select ‘Billing’.

Step 4: Select the number of employee spots.

 
Tip:  If you do not have this option, your client can grant you access as an accountant or tax agent to manage a Payroller subscription on their behalf. 
 
You can edit the card details used to pay for a Payroller subscription.  Select ‘Agent pays’ so that you as the agent are in charge of the subscription.

Step 5: Edit the amount and select ‘Next’.

 
Tip:  If you increase the number of employee spots, you will automatically be charged for the additional spots the day you make the upgrade. This will be charged up until the end of the current subscription.
 
If you reduce the number of employee spots, you will be charged at the reduced number of spots from your next payment date.

Step 6: Review the payment amount and select ‘Confirm’.

Your client’s subscription has now been updated
