How to create a roster using an employee rostering app

 

1. Choose an employee

Inputting employee details is part of setting up Payroller, so you always have their position and salary. Simply pick one or more employees for whom you’re making a shift.

2. Indicate shift duration and meal or rest breaks

Set the work hours for the shift, as well as their rest or lunch breaks, and indicate whether they’re paid or unpaid depending on the employment time.

3. Choose a recurring schedule

To make a work schedule using our free rostering app, you’ll firstly need to add employees in your small business account.  Navigate to the “Employees” section and click on the “Add Employee” button. Fill in the required information, such as name, email, and job title, and click “Save”.  

You can make and assign shifts to employees. To create a shift, go to the “Schedule” section and click on the desired date. Click the “Add Shift” button, select the employee, specify the start and end time, and add any notes if needed. Click “Save” to create the shift.

Then you can publish a shift.  Click on the shift in the schedule, review the details, and click the “Publish” button. The shift will then be visible to your employee.
