Learn how to sign up a client for a subscription as an Agent on Payroller with our simple guide below.

Once you have added Employees for your client, you can start helping your client to create a pay run.

Each client account that you are managing payroll on behalf of, needs to have its own Payroller subscription.

You do not need to subscribe to Payroller for access to your agent account / Agent Portal when youโ€™re managing your external clients.

As an agent, you have three ways of subscribing for your client. You can

Please note that if you invite your clients to pay for their Payroller subscription, your clients must have access to their Payroller account to log in, enter their credit card details, and subscribe. If you have set up your clientโ€™s account and they do not have access, you can either enter the clientโ€™s credit card details on their behalf from the agent portal or edit the clientโ€™s email address through the agent portal.

Invite your client(s) to pay for their Payroller subscription via email

Please note that if your client has subscribed to their employer account, you will not be able to update the subscription unless you, as the agent, are in charge of the subscription, or if your client has given you access to update the subscription.

Send a bulk invitation to your clients to subscribe.

Step 1: Select the three dots on the client card.

Step 2: Choose โ€˜Invite client to pay for subscriptionโ€™.

Step 3: Select the clients you would like to invite.

This screen also allows you to see the clientโ€™s email that has been used to set up the clientโ€™s account.

Step 4: Enter a message if required, then select โ€˜Sendโ€˜.

Your client will have received the following invitation. They will simply have to click โ€˜Enter Detailsโ€™ and log in to their account to subscribe.

Send an individual invitation to your client to subscribe.

You can also send an individual invitation to your client.

Step 1: Select โ€˜Subscribeโ€˜ or โ€˜Start Free Trialโ€˜ on the client card.

Step 2: Review the subscription type and number of employees, customise your message if needed, then select โ€˜Send Emailโ€˜.

When sending an invitation through this method, your client will also see the type of subscription you have selected for them. They will have to click โ€˜Enter Detailsโ€™ and log in to their account to subscribe.

Enter the clientโ€™s credit card details on behalf of the client

Please note that if you enter the clientโ€™s credit card details on behalf of the client, your client and you, as the agent, will have the ability to update the subscription.

Step 1: To enter the clientโ€™s credit card details on their behalf, select โ€˜Subscribeโ€™ or โ€˜Start Free Trialโ€˜ on the clientโ€™s card.

Step 2: Select โ€˜Enter card details on behalf of the clientโ€™.

Step 3: Enter the payment details, customise the subscription type and number of employees, then select โ€˜Confirmโ€™.

Once subscribed, the Subscription status will be changed to Active, Client pays, and show the date that the next billing will occur.

Your client will have received the subscription information in their email.

Enter your own credit card details to pay on behalf of the client

Please note that if you, as the agent,t have subscribed on behalf of the agent and have entered the agentโ€™s card details, then your clients will not have access to update the subscription.

Step 1: To pay for your clientโ€™s subscription, select โ€˜Subscribeโ€™ or โ€˜Start Free Trialโ€™.

Step 2: Select โ€˜Agent paysโ€™.

Step 3: Enter your card details, verify the subscription type and number of employees, then select โ€˜Confirmโ€™.

Once you have subscribed, the Subscription status will be updated to Active, who is paying for the subscription, and the next billing date.

If you have paid for the subscription for your client, you, as the agent, will receive the subscription information via email.
