Learn how to register your clientsโ software IDs with the ATO in Payroller with our simple guide for Agents below.
For this to work, your client needs to be linked to your Agent Portal on the ATO. If theyโre not on your client list, youโll need to add them.
If you are an agent, do NOT add your clientโs software ID to your own access manager.
Option 1: Call the ATO
Call the ATO at 1300 85 22 32 and let them know youโre a Registered Agent nominating an STP software for your client.
They will likely ask you for the following information:

Your Agent name
-
Your Agent contact details
-
Your RAN
-
The Clientโs ABN
-
The name of the Software Provider or their ABN
-
The SSID (unique Software ID)
Option 2: Complete a Bulk Notification Request
If youโre notifying the Software ID for multiple clients, you can complete a Bulk Notification Request.
You can download the form from here.
You will need to fill out all the fields and save a copy.
In โOnline Services for Agentsโ, select the message topic โGeneral Questions/problems/helpโ.
Enter the message subject โSingle Touch Payroll Enquiriesโ.
Attach and send the request with the supporting documents.
This method can have up to a 28 day processing period.
